Zhishu Chang and Aura Wang created a video work tracing the evolution of an eye from dot to line, line to plane, and plane to space. The eye symbolizes awareness and the unfolding of dimensional perception. The work reflects on drawing and painting as processes of transformation rather than depiction. The dot becomes spatial consciousness, opening the surface toward movement and rhythm. Engaging with modern discourses on materiality, the video situates drawing as an active field where boundaries between mediums dissolve. Through Zhishu’s digital sound, visual and sonic forms evolve in tandem, revealing drawing as an unfolding awareness in time and space.
